Well, we survived another week. It was short, yet so long at the same time. Sometimes it feels that way. I think it has a lot to do with the weather... We are all SO ready for some Spring sunshine! This coming week we have a few things to look forward to...

NWEA testing will begin on Friday for our class. Please have your child well rested and fed with a good breakfast. Our second part of the test will be Monday April 27th.

We are having our annual volunteer luncheon this next Friday, April 24th @1:00pm. All of our wonderful mother helpers are invited to come, so please do!

We have Steve James coming for an assembly on Thursday.

Spelling was a bit disappointing this week. I know it was a short week, but we went over the words before we left for Spring break. All of our words this week reviewed many of the phonics skills we have worked so hard on this year.
This week's 100% spellers are:
* Jeff
* Brinnley
* Rylan
* Drew
* Tate
* Reagan

Spring Break!

I was just making next week's schedule and forgot that it will be SPRING BREAK! Yea! How did I forget??? Our break will be Thursday- Monday. School will resume on Tuesday April, 14th. Have a wonderful and safe break with your families! Hopefully our weather will cooperate with us!

I got an email this week that was Jeff Foxworthy jokes... I thought this one pretty much summed up our week:

"YOU might be a school employee if you can
tell it's a full moon or if it's going to rain, snow, hail....anything!!!
Without ever looking outside."

Yes, our children were definetly feeling something. We worked through it and I'm sure they will be excited for the break also.

This weeks 100% spellers are: (pr-, br- blends)
* Quayd
* Aidan
* Mikayla
* Brinnley
* Rylan
* Drew
* Tate
* Reagan
* Miri

Keep reading at home and practicing math facts, time to hour/half hour, and counting $ (pennies, nickels, dimes).
